Leadership Development

The strongest leaders are those who are committed to growth and development - like birches. My core beliefs about leadership are:

  • Leadership is a set of behaviors that can be learned; it’s not a position.

  • Leaders are at their best when they act from their deepest values and capabilities. It requires practicing self-awareness and intentionality.

  • Leaders today operate in a dynamic ecosystem without single answers. They need the ability to truly learn from their experience through deliberate reflection

  • Leading involves managing paradoxes and balancing competing forces. Effective leaders flex their leadership style to meet the situation’s needs.

  • The need for leadership development has never been more urgent: Given today’s organizations’ complex environment and highly collaborative work cultures, leadership skills are needed across the entire organization, not just at the top.

  • Organizations struggle with employee engagement and satisfaction. We need leaders who create a thriving, humanistic workplace that serves both the marketplace and the soul of the employees.
